From July 4 to 6, 2025, Animeland in Potsdam opens its gates! To ensure your visit is smooth and enjoyable, we've summarised the most important information and tips for you below. You can find the site map and full programme in the official programme booklet [Download].
Box Office Access & E-Ticket Exchange
The box office is located in the car park on Lotte-Loebinger-Straße, accessible via the vehicle entrance. After purchasing your ticket or exchanging it for a wristband, you may enter and exit the event grounds anytime via the main entrance.
Box Office – Buy Tickets On Site
On Friday and Sunday, there will still be plenty of tickets available at the box office.
On Saturday, there will be no box office – this day is sold out.
E-Ticket Wristband Exchange
You can exchange your e-ticket for your festival wristband daily from 8:00 a.m. at the box office in the car park. After that, you may enter and exit freely via the main entrance. Please do not tear off the wristband if you come for several days!
Important Note on Ticket Exchange:
If you want to be ready for the programme start at 10:00 a.m., please arrive at 8:00 a.m. sharp – this is the only way to make it through the ticket exchange and security check on time, especially on Saturday.
Tip: If you have a Saturday ticket, you can collect your wristband already on Friday from 4:00 p.m. – this helps you avoid the Saturday morning rush. Note: We only hand over the wristband in person, as losing it could cause major issues – after all, no one wants to risk missing out on the Anime Messe.
House Rules (Summary)

Accompanying persons
Accompanying persons of individuals with a severe disability and the marker (B) in their ID receive free admission and do not need to purchase a separate ticket. At the box office, simply presenting the ID is sufficient.
Special case: If the person in question is under 11 years of age and therefore does not require a ticket, please note that at least one person must still purchase a regular ticket. In this case, we will charge for a youth ticket.
For reasons of fairness, we charge a youth ticket in this case, as we do not receive government funding and provide this option on a voluntary basis.
Still Have Questions?
We understand some of you might have last-minute questions. Please note that we are currently in the setup phase and can no longer be reached by phone. Please send your enquiries via email to info@animemesse.de – we’ll do our best to answer all messages overnight.
We’re super excited to welcome you to a colourful weekend full of anime, cosplay, music, and Japanese flair in Babelsberg!
On Saturday, July 5th, we’re celebrating the world premiere of the brand-new fantasy anime “Apocalypse Bringer Mynoghra” together with MAHO FILM. At 3:30 PM, the grand ballroom will be transformed into a cinema – and you’ll be the first audience in the world to watch the anime, even before it airs in Japan! Joining us for this special occasion are three distinguished guests from Japan: scriptwriter Toshima Hara, character designer Eri Kojima, and voice actor Toshiki Kumagai, who voices the main character Takuto Ira in the original version. They will personally introduce the anime and will be available for an autograph session afterward.
Additionally, there will be a live drawing session with character designer Eri Kojima on Friday at 6:10 PM on the main stage. On Sunday, Japanese voice actor Toshiki Kumagai will be a guest at the voice acting panel at 12:00 PM on the main stage, and also on Sunday, there will be a Q&A panel with MAHO FILM at 1:50 PM on the event stage. So be sure to drop by each day if you want to learn more about how anime is created in Japan.
The first preview of the 2025 timetable is here! This year, we’ve completely revamped the schedule to give you a much better overview online. The new digital format is designed to help you quickly see what’s happening, when, and on which of our many stages. We hope you like the new layout and that it makes planning your festival weekend even easier!
We also have exciting news for everyone who’s counting down the days to the J-Disco: the brand-new J-Disco Deluxe Ticket is now available. With this ticket, you’ll get access to the event as early as Friday at 6:00 PM – giving you plenty of time to explore the exhibitor hall, catch a live concert, and then dive straight into the J-Disco party. Joining us on stage are DJ Shen and DJ KERN_BRECHER, ready to bring the energy.
The regular J-Disco Ticket is still available for €10 but can only be purchased on-site at the evening box office. This standard ticket grants access to the party starting from 8:30 PM.
Numerous exciting competitions await you at the Anime Messe Babelsberg. On Friday you can take part directly in the "Show off your cosplay" - no need to register in advance. However, you will need to register in advance for some other competitions.
Take part in the exciting cosplay competition on Saturday or take part in the E2C Cosplay preliminary round on Sunday. If you are a drawing artist, show off your talent in the drawing competition. For the anime music video lovers among you: submit your exclusive AMVs and show us your creative interpretation. All registrations are open until 22 June!
