The Japanese band KOIAI is going on their first-ever European tour — and they’ll be performing at Anime Messe Babelsberg from 04 to 06 July at Filmpark Babelsberg near Berlin. On Saturday and Sunday, fans can look forward to a live concert in the large Volcano Arena, followed by an autograph session with the band.
KOIAI was formed in December 2022, after Li-sa-X, Hazuki, and Kotono gained attention with a joint YouTube cover of the song "ABC" by Polyphia. Just two months later, in February 2023, the trio performed at the Oddball Festival in India. Over the next few months, they released their first two EPs, "Deep Indigo" and "Deep Love", before drummer Kanade Sato joined the group as the fourth member at the end of the year. In November 2024, they released their third EP, "Come see me."
With their blend of technical precision, genre-defying compositions between metal and jazz, and a distinctive soft vocal style, KOIAI is gaining growing international attention. Now, in June and July 2025, the band is embarking on their first European tour.
At Anime Messe Babelsberg 2025, KOIAI will perform two concerts on the large outdoor stage in the Volcano, each followed by an autograph session. So mark 05 and 06 July in your calendar and grab your ticket for Anime Messe Babelsberg 2025!
