Makoto Konno is a perfectly ordinary 17-year-old schoolgirl who has not quite worked out what to do with her life. More than anything, she would love to hold on to summer forever and simply carry on playing baseball with her two friends Kosuke and Chiaki. One particular summer's day, however, holds an unusual surprise in store for her: all of a sudden, she can leap through time.
At first, Makoto uses this gift to undo awkward moments as if they had never happened. What she fails to consider is that, with every jump, her world slips a little further out of balance.
The film by Mamoru Hosoda ("BELLE") is regarded as a modern anime classic and will be shown here in 4K, a touching and humorous story about growing up and first love.
