Seventeen-year-old Suzu lives with her father in a small village when her life changes from one moment to the next: she signs up to "U", a virtual world with five billion users. There, the shy schoolgirl appears not as herself, but as her avatar, the beautiful and graceful Belle.
Under the protection of anonymity, Suzu leaves her self-doubt behind and becomes a globally celebrated star overnight, while everyone is asking the same question: who is really behind Belle? Her rise is soon dampened, however. In the middle of one of her concerts, a mysterious being appears and throws everything into turmoil.
This "Beast" roams the vast expanses of "U" and puts the peace of the virtual world to the test. Rather than turning away, Belle is fascinated by the menacing troublemaker and sets out to uncover the mystery of his true identity.
The film comes from Studio Chizu ("The Boy and the Beast"), and the character of Belle was designed by character designer Jin Kim ("Frozen", "Encanto").
