Dazai's mysterious past and a puzzling series of suicides - the film for the series with its own story!
A fateful fog is drifting through the streets, not only in Yokohama, but worldwide. This seems to be connected to a suicide incident series of enablers. The whole thing develops into a case that only the Armed Detectives can solve. And so they are assigned by government employee and Dazai's old friend Ango Sakaguchi. In the course of the investigation, however, it turns out that the string-puller seems to be Tatsuhiko Shibusawa, about whom hardly anything is known. Meanwhile, the dreaded Fyodor Dostoyevsky causes further complications. When Dazai also suddenly disappears, it becomes increasingly unclear whether the Armed Detectives will be able to stop the fog of decay...
This film of the action-packed anime of the detective genre comes up with numerous allusions to personalities and works from Japanese cultural history. The studio responsible, Bones, has already produced successful titles such as COWBOY BEBOP, FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST and MY HERO ACADEMIA. Director Takuya Igarashi has already directed DOREMI and the main series BUNGO STRAY DOGS.
