The Anime Messe Babelsberg will take place again from 15 to 17 July 2022 in the wonderful Filmpark Babelsberg near Berlin. [ Ticket Sale ] If you don't have time on the new date, you have the possibility to refund your tickets partially or completely until 30 June 2021, to convert them into an AnimeFanShop.de voucher or to donate them to Anime Kultur e.V.. Hello dear friends of anime,

We hope you are all doing well in the face of this difficult time for everyone. 

However, it is with a heavy heart that we have to inform you today that we will not be able to hold the Anime Messe Babelsberg in the Filmpark near Berlin this year and that the Anime Kultur Verein has decided to postpone the fifth edition of the Anime Messe until summer 2022.

We know that for many people the Anime Messe was a glimmer of hope, especially after this long period of abstinence, to experience something nice again together with your friends in the field of anime, manga and cosplay. 

For this reason, we have waited until now and hoped that the situation would improve with the vaccination and various testing strategies so that we could get back to full speed in the summer. 

Unfortunately, the virus with its mutations and the slow progress with vaccinations is striking out at us. 

Although we hope that the situation will improve in the summer, we have to assume that events for over 1,000 people will still not be able to take place in Berlin & Brandenburg. 

Especially as the current lockdown was extended yesterday until 18 April and is therefore very close to the event date.

On this basis, serious planning for this year's Anime Messe Babelsberg is no longer possible. 

The Anime Messe stands for an unforgettable entertainment experience for Anime & Manga fans with many great concerts & shows by and with our Japanese as well as regional guests of honour in a beautiful theme park to feel good. 

In order to meet the quality and your expectations of the Anime Messe Babelsberg, we are postponing the Anime Messe until summer 2022.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all ticket buyers and supporters! You are AWESOME!!! 

It is only because of you that we are one of the lucky events that can still go on after a year of event lockdown. 

Because 82% of you kept your tickets and about 3.000 Euros of donations went to the association, which enabled us to mitigate a small part of the financial damage and to keep up the free programme of our webradio AnimeRadio.de for you besides the Anime Messe Babelsberg. 

To make sure you don't go away empty-handed this year, we are currently looking into the feasibility of an Anime Messe Digital in the original period from 9 to 11 July 2021.

Ticket refund & new date for Anime Messe Babelsberg:

As last year, we are offering a ticket refund to those who don't know if they can come to the new date next year. 

We will let you know the details and the new date of the Anime Messe Babelsberg after a short consultation with the Filmpark on 31 March. 

All ticket holders who bought their tickets online will receive an e-mail. If you want to keep your ticket, you don't have to do ANYTHING, just like last year. 

The tickets are automatically valid for 2022.
