What is better than one anime premiere? Two anime premieres, of course! Following the already announced premiere of "The World's Strongest Rearguard", our friends from Studio MAHO FILM are raising the stakes for the Anime Messe Babelsberg 2026 and bringing a second hot title with them to Potsdam: "The Insipid Prince's Furtive Grab for The Throne", which we shall watch together ahead of everyone else and discuss with the animators on stage.

The second premiere takes place on Saturday, 18 July 2026, at 12:10 in the grand hall of the Metropolis Halle. Ms Yuko Oba and Ms Manami Inose will join us for the ceremonial first screening and will sign autographs in the session that follows.

The series is based on one of the most successful light novel franchises of recent years and takes you into the militarily dominant Aldrasian Empire, where the seventh prince Arnold is mocked as the talentless "drained-out prince". Behind that façade, however, lies a secret: Arnold is in truth one of only five SS-rank adventurers on the entire continent, steering the succession battle from the shadows.
